What is a Certificate Of Authenticity?
The certificate of authenticity (COA) is the only way to buy, sell or insure a piece of art, knowing it is an original Martin Whatson's piece. This website is the only official source of COAs for Martin Whatson. We issue them for paintings and sculptures. However, we do not issue them for stickers or posters.
I am interested in a Martin Whatson artwork. How can I make sure it is authentic?
Be careful. There are always scammers trying to sell fake artworks by different artists.

Do Martin sell printed canvases?
No, please be aware of certain sites selling artworks printed on canvas. The safest route is through the galleries listed on www.martinwhatson.com
Is there any official Whatson NFT’s?
Martin has not made any NFT’s, and at the time have no plans of doing so.
Will you autenticate signed books, flyers, napkins or doodled pizza boxes?
No, we only authenticate originals, sculptures or objects that is made as actual artworks.
Will you authenticate unsigned mini prints?
No, we will not authenticate unsigned mini prints.
Is my Graffitiprints COA still valid?
Yes, this is not a replacement for Graffitiprints issued COA’s. But if you want your name in our database we suggest using this authentication process aswell.
